Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort is a northern New Mexico destination outside of Taos for weekend getaways, vacations and overnight stays. Relax. Take a hike. Explore the mountain. Grill the trout you caught over a sweet wood fire. And enjoy s’mores while gazing at the magnificent night sky uncluttered by any city lights. Sipapu tent and RV camping is a great way to explore the mountain and nearby attractions as well as Carson National Forest, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Taos, New Mexico.
Choose your scenic Sipapu Tent and RV Camping Site!
Tent campsites are limited to two tents per site with a maximum of six people and one vehicle. RV spaces offer full hook-ups but are not pull-through. Some trailers may also dry camp in tent campsites.
Each campsite location includes:
- Picnic tables
- Fire pits with a grill
- Soothing sounds of the river
Well-behaved pets are welcome in the Sipapu tent and RV campground, please keep an eye on your pets, and keep them on leash.
Camp Fires and Cooking
Firewood is available for a nominal cost at the General Store in the lower level of the Sipapu Lodge. Campers may build a fire within the established fire rings, and must take every precaution to ensure the fire is out when finished.
As a reminder, Sipapu is located within Carson National Forest. Tree cutting is strictly prohibited..
Campers are responsible for removing all food and waste from their campsite to discourage wild animals from investigating. The grills and picnic tables are provided for convenience. Receptacles are available throughout the property.
Quiet hours for Sipapu tent and RV camping are observed from 10 pm to 7 am.
