Enjoy the great outdoors during a stay at our campground, soothed by the sounds of the river running near your tent. Grill trout you caught over a sweet wood fire, and enjoy s’mores while gazing at the magnificent sky, uncluttered by the lights of the city.
Located right on the Rio Pueblo, our scenic campsites provide the perfect setting for exploring Sipapu and the surrounding area. Our campsites are limited to two tents per site, a maximum of six people, and one vehicle. Well-behaved pets are welcome at no additional charge.
Each location includes:
- Picnic tables
- Fire pits with a grill
Camp Fires and Cooking
Campers should use the established fire rings to build a fire. Firewood is available for purchase at our General Store, located in the lower level of our main lodge, for a nominal cost. To keep our forests strong, and because Sipapu is located in Carson National Forest, tree cutting at Sipapu is strictly prohibited, and please take every precaution to ensure your fire is completely out when you are finished using it. Grills are provided for your convenience. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Campers should take care to remove all food and waste from their campsite to discourage wild animals from investigating. Receptacles are available throughout the property.
