The Mountain Lodging Experience

Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort offers a no-frills, quintessential mountain lodge experience. This means our units do not have cable TV, hair dryers, shampoo, or laundry facilities, and we do not currently offer a swimming pool or hot tubs, although some guests enjoy the river. Sipapu’s climate does not require air conditioners. We do not have telephones, although cell service is typically available throughout the resort property. Select accommodations may have kitchens, coffeemakers, microwaves, refrigerators, and TVs that only work with wifi (bring your streaming device – like a Roku or Fire Stick). Check-In and Check-Out

Sipapu’s check-in time is at 4:00 pm. When you arrive, please visit the main lodge to check in. Sipapu’s reservations desk is staffed daily. See hours of operation here. If you arrive after 10 pm, your room key will be in an envelope with your name on it, and it will be tacked to the front door of our main lodge.

Check-out time at Sipapu is at 11:00 am. Please return your key at our reservations desk upon departure.

When Your Credit Card is Charged

A valid credit card is required to reserve Sipapu lodging accommodations. Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort accepts: VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Payment is due in full 15 days prior to your arrival with the exception of holiday seasons as specified below.

Holiday Seasons Requiring Full Payment 30 Days Prior to Your Arrival:

  • Presidents’ Weekend
  • Memorial Weekend
  • July (the entire month)
  • Labor Day Weekend
  • BMW Weekend
  • Thanksgiving Week

Holiday Seasons Requiring Full Payment More Than 30 Days Prior to Your Arrival:

  • Christmas & New Year’s weeks. Week before Christmas, week after Christmas, week before New Year’s. Payment is due in full for all December reservations on October 1 or when the reservation is booked after October 1. 
  • Martin Luther King Weekend. Payment is due in full for Martin Luther King weekend on November 1 or when the reservation is booked after November 1.
  • Spring Break. Second and third weeks in March. Payment is due in full for Spring Break on December 1, or when the reservation is booked after December 1.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens, we get it. You can cancel your lodging reservation without penalty by contacting us at least 15 days before your scheduled arrival date, or 30 days before if you’re staying with us during a holiday season.

Cancellations made within 15 days of your scheduled arrival date, or within 30 days if you’re staying with us during a holiday season, may be issued a refund ONLY if another party reserves your room.

To reiterate, you must contact us at least 30 days in advance to cancel without penalty for these holiday seasons: 

  • Presidents’ Weekend
  • Martin Luther King Weekend
  • Memorial Day Weekend
  • July (the entire month)
  • Labor Day Weekend
  • BMW Weekend
  • Thanksgiving Week
  • Christmas Week (Week before and after Christmas)
  • New Year’s Week (Week before and after New Year’s)

Group Lodging

Reserving a block of four (4) or more rooms is consider a group reservation at Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort. All group reservations require a $100 non-refundable holding fee due at the time when you book your reservation. This fee gets credited to your reservation as long as you do not cancel any of the rooms.

Sipapu Pet Policy

Furry friends are family too at Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort! We are dog friends and welcome pets in all our Sipapu lodging accommodations EXCEPT in the Riverside Cabins and Big House. Your pet is considered a guest and must be declared at check-in.

Sipapu charges an additional $20 per visit for each pet with a two (2) dog maximum. You are liable for any damage that you pet may cause to our property, including our resort’s loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent rooms while the damage is being repaired.

Sipapu Lodging Policies for Smoking and Other Damages

All Sipapu lodging accommodations are non-smoking, and guests are responsible for any damages or extra cleaning costs due to smoking. Anyone who negligently or intentionally causes damage to our property will be liable for damages, including our resort’s loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent rooms while the damage is being repaired.
