- Check out our first-timers guide if you haven’t been to Sipapu before. It’s chock filled with great tips for getting around and understanding the resort.
- Don’t miss a second of your ski day. Purchase your lift tickets, rentals, and lessons online and well in advance of your ski day: this saves time and money! The sooner you purchase, the more you can save.

Click here for lessons - Spend less time in line at the rental shop by reserving your equipment online and giving yourself at least a full hour on your first ski day to get fitted with your equipment rentals. The shop opens at 8 am. Also, measure your child’s foot and know their shoe size to expedite the process. Also, reserve a spot in our overnight storage right next to the Guest Services building to conveniently stow your rental gear.

Our units do not have cable TV, hair dryers, shampoo or toiletries (except soap), or laundry facilities. Select accommodations may have kitchens, coffeemakers, microwaves, refrigerators, and TVs that only work with wifi. Feel free to bring a streaming device, such as Roku stick to stream on in-room TV’s or purchase one at the front desk. - Have kids ages 12 & under? Do yourself a favor and register for your child’s Power Kids pass BEFORE arriving on the mountain. Then, all you’ll need to do is show proof of age (you can present a photo of a birth certificate, passport, or ID on your phone) and you’ll get their pass right away. This little trick will save you a lot of time.

On busy days, think about lunch 30-45 minutes before you want to eat. Order online at www.sipapu.ski/eat, take a lap or two, and your food will be ready when you’re hungry, rather than when you’re hangry!

- Remember the altitude at Sipapu. If you’re coming from lower elevation, even Albuquerque, Sipapu is at 8,200 feet. Watch for signs of altitude sickness, stay hydrated and follow these tips.
- Have some non-skiers in your group? The Day Lodge at Sipapu is available for games and hanging out, while Taos has amazing tourist opportunities.
- If you have a Sipapu card from last year, skip the line and reuse it! Your purchases are automatically loaded onto your existing card as long as you don’t activate a new one.
