Pond skim contest

Skiers and boarders test their balance and bravery—and try to stay dry—as they race down the mountain and attempt to “skim” across our skimming pond. Prizes awarded to the best finishers, including prizes from Sierra Nevada Brewing!

The man-made “Lake Sipapu” is about 75 feet long, 3 feet deep and filled with 30-40 degree river water. Participation is limited to 50 people.

10:30-11:30 am Registration on back patio – first come, first served.

11:45 Safety meeting at base of mountain 

12pm Pond Skim begins

Awards plus aprés activities: 3 p.m.

$10 per participant, for 2 runs (2nd run only for participants who make it past the halfway mark the first time) 

Prizes given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place & Best Costume 

Please note: Skiers must skim without poles.

Cost:
$10 Registration fee with the purchase of a lift ticket, or if you are a pass holder (registration and helmets required)
