About Sipapu

Founded by Lloyd and Olive Bolander in 1952, Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort continues to lead as New Mexico’s affordable, family-friend ski resort. The resort offers the best deals in the Rockies with fun for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The mountain has over 40 trails, six lifts, and three terrain parks. On-site amenities include historic and rustic mountain slope-side lodging, a full-service ski shop, ski school and the riverside mountain restaurant, the Riverside Cafe.

Sipapu is nestled within Carson National Forest surrounded by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Taos is 20 miles northwest of Sipapu, and Albuquerque is two hours south.

Visiting Media

Sipapu welcomes media representatives on assignment and is happy to help coordinate your visit. Upon approval and based on availability, we can provide complimentary products, including lift tickets, rental equipment, lessons, etc. during your visit. We ask that visiting media make requests at least 30 days in advance. We may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests, and we may decline any request for any reason. We will evaluate on a case-by-case basis any requests for additional guests or journalist on vacation.

Our top priority is to provide the best guest experience for everyone who visits Sipapu. We cannot guarantee complimentary products during holiday periods. We will do our best to accommodate media requests during peak times, but ask that visiting media do their best to come during off peak times.
