Fly Fishing with Solitary Angler
We’re excited to continue our partnership with Solitary Angler offering FREE beginner fly casting clinics taught by FFI Master Certified Casting Instructor and guide Tom Harper. The clinics will be held by the pond at Sipapu every Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm beginning June 27, 2020 and every Saturday thereafter through the summer. We will also be offering a class we call “Introduction to Fly Fishing” when we talk about equipment set up, knots, bugs, what flies to use, where to find fish, etc. This class will be given once each month over the summer on June 27, July 11, and August 8 at 8 am upstairs in the Lodge by the Riverside Cafe. Bring your own rod and reel or borrow them from Solitary Angler. Class is limited to 10 people so reservations are required.
Please call the Solitary Angler directly at 866-502-1700 to make your reservations.
If you want to learn more about fly fishing and put to use the skills that you learned in the casting clinic or introduction to fly fishing class arrange a trip with a professional guide. Guided trips are anywhere from one-half day (3-4 hours) to full day trips (7-8 hours) on your choice of public or private water. A half day trip following the class or clinic on the Rio Pueblo near Sipapu can be arranged with your instructor Tom at a special discounted price (limit two people) with all equipment provided.
Reservations for the casting clinic or Introduction to Fly Fishing class as well as half day or full day guided trips can be made through Solitary Angler by calling 866-502-1700.
