Sipapu Delays Opening

The Office of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has issued an emergency health order that establishes a new stringent stay at home order. This order is effective Monday, November 16th through Monday, November 30th. As a result, Sipapu will not be open for skiing November 20th thru November 30th. Sipapu’s lodging continues to operate at 25% capacity, and our convenience store and gas station remain open as essential businesses with reduced capacity.

Sipapu has postponed its opening day until the Governor’s office authorizes our reopening. We understand this is disappointing news. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and grace as we navigate the curveballs of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will not be selling daily lift tickets for the 2020/2021 season until we have further clarification from the Governor’s office on opening.

We cannot thank our guests and supporters enough as we continue to pivot during this challenging time. We look forward to getting back together on the snow very soon. Stay well.
