Pond skim contest

Skiers and boarders test their balance and bravery—and try to stay dry—as they race down the mountain and attempt to “skim” across our skimming pond. Prizes awarded to the best finishers, including prizes from Sierra Nevada Brewing!

The man-made “Lake Sipapu” is about 75 feet long, 3 feet deep and filled with 30-40 degree river water. Reps from Sierra Nevada will be on the mountain pouring craft beer, and giving away brewery logo swag during the event and aprés until 6 p.m. Participation is limited to 50 people.

Please note: Skiers must skim without poles.

Registration: 12 p.m. at the base area
Pond Skim Runs: starting at 1 p.m.
Awards and plus aprés activities: 3 p.m.

Cost:
FREE with the purchase of a lift ticket, or if you are a pass holder (registration and helmets required)
